Peak season runs from May to September when temperatures are ideal for sightseeing and the beach. Late spring and fall are also excellent. Winter is the low season but more affordable accommodation rates and fewer crowds make it appealing too.

How to Get There

  • Direct flights from London airports like Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted to Barcelona El Prat Airport take around 2 hours. Popular airlines include British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, Vueling.
  • Other direct flights from Manchester, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol.
  • Trains from Paris and southern France go direct to Barcelona Sants railway station. Eurostar from London to Paris can connect onwards.
  • Ferries from Italy go to Barcelona port city. Flights or trains can then get you to Barcelona.
